2013 Chick-fil-A Cow Calendar: Changes

We are excited to announce that the 2013 Chick-fil-A Cow Calendar is now available! An exciting new feature this year is that a Digital Card will house all 12 offers, taking the place of paper coupons. This will make for convenient storage (ie: wallet) and if you were to lose the card, we now have the ability to replace it.

Every 2013 Cow Calendar Digital Card must be activated (online using an email address for full benefits, via telephone for basic functionality) prior to redeeming any offers. There is a limit of one card activation per email address or telephone number.

Once the card has been registered and the card is swiped for an offer, that card is non-usable until the next month. Each offer must be used during the month which it is available. It will not be valid before or after the specified month. Therefore, redemptions will begin in January 2013.

We hope you will visit us at the New Bern Chick-fil-A soon, and purchase the world’s most popular and best selling calendar, the Chick-fil-A Cow Calendar!

Kid's Night Enhancements

Dear Chick-fil-A Kid’s Night Families,

Chick-fil-A is an avid supporter of good nutrition and good values. At Chick-fil-A we care about the physical and character development of every child we reach with our Kid’s Night and Kid’s Meal program. We have concentrated on making our entrees healthier by offering one of the nation’s most nutritious Kid’s Meals. As you may know, our newest nutritious menu options include: Grilled Nuggets and Buddy Fruits Pure Blended Fruit To Go applesauce.

Our customers realize that Kid’s Meals are about more than just good food and Kid’s Night has always been about more than just free food. Following Chick-fil-A, Inc’s suggestion, our focus will be shifted to enhancing the Kid’s Night activities so that the kids we reach will be able to continue to have fun and create lasting memories at Chick-fil-A. Beginning Tuesday August 7th the FREE Kid’s Meal on Kid’s Night promotion will be retired. Kid’s Night will become more about exciting surprises (ie: Cow appearances, a FREE Cookie night, community partnerships).

We realize that change can be difficult, but we hope you will trust and understand our decision and continue to “Eat Mor Chikin!”

Sincerely,
Chick-fil-A of New Bern

School, the End is Near

This is an exciting time of year for kids all across the country, but it’s not always as highly anticipated by parents, especially those with younger children. The summer brings with it many challenges. One of the major obstacles being: How do I fill hot summer days with family fun and education? We have an idea that is sure to hatch!

Plan one day each week to bring your family to Chick-fil-A. Make it fun and unique for your family. Let your kids give it a title (ie: Chick-fil-A Day, Chicken Day, etc.). Maybe invite several other families to commit to this day as well. Playing together in the play area is a great opportunity for children to enhance social skills and meet new friends. Our clean, family-friendly environment allows parents to relax, knowing their children are safe. Tables with a great view of the play area offer parents much needed time with other adults.

You can trust that Chick-fil-A Kid’s Meals will meet the nutritional goals of your family, and the prizes will match the needs of education during a summer absent of lesson plans and school books. Now that we’ve shared the idea, it’s your turn to pick a day and a time! Keep in mind that off-peak hours tend to be less busy, making it easier to relax for a longer period of time and keep a closer eye on your children.

Most Creative Name Winner

Callahan Naming Group has selected the winner of the Chick-fil-A Most Creative Team Name portion of our NCAA Bracket Challenge. “The names in the pool this year were highly creative, especially the top five. There were actually three names that we believed to be worthy of winning, but we had to narrow it down to just one,” said Joey Jones, CNG President. “The one name that we believe is the most relevant and memorable is....

-Burger Buster Bracket “The Chick-fil-A Cows second this message!”

“Bike-Thru Drive-Thru” for Charity

CJ Burford is a seven-year-old boy with plans to ride his bike approximately 300 miles during his Spring Break, to raise money for the Samaritan's Purse "Turn on the Tap" Water Project. His ride brings CJ and his team through New Bern, NC on Tuesday April 3rd (approx 2-3pm). Chick-fil-A is feeding CJ and his team, and we are inviting EVERYONE to the "Welcome Party" (upon arrival).

ALL DAY (Tuesday April 3rd): Ride Your Bike through the Chick-fil-A Drive-Thru and Chick-fil-A will donate $1 - for every bike rider who places an order in drive-thru - to the charity on behalf of our friend, CJ.

12-6pm (Tuesday April 3rd): We plan to have fun activities, booths & giveaways!

If you own a bike, you can help CJ make a difference. Ride from home to Chick-fil-A if you can, or load your bike on a bike rack, in the bed of a pick-up truck, or in the back of the SUV...wherever it will fit! We will have outdoor seating and bike racks (thanks to Flythe’s Bike Shop) where you can secure your bike.

As we get notice that CJ is about to arrive, we will line up outside near the Chick-fil-A entrance and welcome him and his team to New Bern! Make sure you are there; we want to make this very special for such a special little boy.

Important Safety Guidelines
Any participant sixteen and under, riding a bike, must be accompanied by a parent/guardian and must wear proper headgear. All bikers should wear bright clothing.

Most Creative Names (Round Two)

Callahan Naming Group critiqued the team names that made it into the second round of our name challenge, and determined which five names will move forward. “It was a tough decision,” said Joey Jones, CNG President. “The names that have made it to the final round are all clear, memorable and relevant.” (See Below) On Championship Day we will announce the winner!

-Tried and Truett Picks “Replacing ‘True’ with ‘Truett’ in this very common saying is very creative. You see, Truett Cathy is the founder of Chick-fil-A.”

-Burger Buster Bracket “The Chick-fil-A Cows second this message!”

-The IceDream Team “IceDream ice cream is a favorite of many Chick-fil-A customers. The ‘Dream Team’ is a famous USA Olympic basketball team made up of NBA players. Even though that dream team is not NCAA related, any team can be a dream team!”

-Cowaballa “This name was most likely derived from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles famous saying, ‘Cowabunga’! It’s upbeat, creative and fun!”

-Eat More Brackets “The words ‘Eat Mor’ have been made famous by the Chick-fil-A Cows. Tying them in with ‘Brackets’ is priceless. There are countless meanings that could be derived from this name.”
